Who is behind the screen?

Hi everyone!

My name is Teri, and I’m a 44 year old female living in the country in NW Ohio. If that reads “farm town” to you, you’ve hit the nail on the head! Our house is actually on about 2 acres of what used to be my husband’s grandfather’s farmland. It got to the point quite a few years ago that tractors and stuff were too big for the narrow space between road and creek, so my grandfather-in-law started selling parcels. We’re one of only two (of about 10) of my husband’s generation of “kids” that owns original family land, so that’s kind of cool.

My husband’s name is Jeremy, and I’ll probably mention him quite a bit in these blog posts. We’ve been together for 17.5 years and married for almost 14. Together we are self employed at our small body shop. Jeremy has been working on cars for about 34 years, and we’ve had our own business for 9 years now. I call him my grunt because he does the actual labor while I’m the office person. It sucks sometimes working together all day and then going home together (too much time together IS a real thing lol), but I wouldn’t have it any other way!!

We also have a “kid”. Our 8 year old Chewy is a 90 lb rescue. The humane society said he’s a chocolate lab, but I think he has some Hungarian Vizsla in him. You be the judge:

Our interests include traveling, listening to music, cooking, gardening, Color Street (me WAY more than him!), and reading. I am also a type 2 diabetic, so I’m loosely into Keto and low carb. Travel was put on hold for a few years thanks to the Covid pandemic and life (more on the life part in another entry), but I got in a girls trip to Florida in August of 2023, and we spent 11 glorious nights at our “home away from home” at Sandals in Jamaica in November of 2023.
